 GVC Holdings funds online courses from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) on the regulatory challenges facing the gaming industry

 
 GVC Holdings ha anunciado que la donación de $ 256 mil a la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV Boyd) para el lanzamiento de un programa de capacitación en línea que permita la formación de operadores, reguladores, abogados y otras personas que trabajan en la industria mundial del juego.

As reported by GVC Holdings, this donation has been made through GVC Foundation US and is intended to prepare professionals for the sophisticated regulatory and operational challenges facing the gaming industry. Fundamental knowledge if we consider the expansion of the sector around the world.

In this regard, Daniel W. Hamilton, Dean of UNLV's William S. Boyd School of Law, commented:

"UNLV Boyd is located in the international capital of gaming and we are delighted to create this program open to all"

"Thanks to a gift from the GVC Foundation, gaming professionals around the globe can learn from those who are engaged in cutting-edge research on gaming and regulation."

On the other hand, Martin Lycka, trustee of the US GVC Foundation, highlighted that they are proud to sponsor this innovative online program, which "that closely aligns with our Foundation's focus on responsible gambling, sports integrity and compliance" and will be important to "prepare professionals to navigate the changing complexities of the US gambling markets."

The initial courses to be offered include:
  1. Introduction to Gaming Law and Regulation taught by Anthony Cabot, Distinguished Fellow in Gaming Law at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.
  2. Introduction to Gaming Operations taught by Uri Clinton who was formerly the President and Chief Operating Officer of MGM Empire City Casino in New York.
  3. The Legal and Operational Environment for Sports Betting taught by Keith Miller, Ellis and Nelle Levitt Distinguished Professor of Law at Drake Law School and visiting professor at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law.
  4. Player Accountability and CorporateSocial Responsibility in Gaming Law taught by Alan Feldman, Distinguished Fellow in Responsible Gaming at the International Gaming Institute (IGI) at UNLV and Dayvid Figler, attorney and national expert on where criminal justice and gaming intersect.
  5. Public Policy and Comparative Study of Gaming Laws and Regulations taught by Simon Planzer, PhD, gaming lawyer and Lecturer in Law at the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland).
