Bally's Corporation has reached an agreement to acquire SportCaller, a provider of free F2P games, as part of its international expansion strategy. It should be noted that SportCaller has a catalog of more than 100 games, available in 20 languages, with 20 sports in 37 countries.
This transaction, whose rate has not been published, follows the acquisition of Bet.Works for $ 125 million in November last year, and the purchase of fantasy sports company Monkey Knife Fight in January.
The purchase of SportCaller will allow Bally's Corporation to launch its own suite of F2P games, as well as leverage the mobile reach of its media partner Sinclair Broadcast Group, to expand its player database in states where sports betting continues to be prohibited.
Additionally, SportCaller will allow Bally's use FTP games as an additional player engagement and retention tool in legalized sports betting states.
On this new acquisition, George Papanier, Bally’s president and CEO, highlighted the qualities of the products, the platform and the extensive international experience of SportCaller, stating that they will contribute significantly with its interactive platforms under development.
On the other hand, Cillian Barry, founder and MD of SportCaller, said: “Joining Bally’s is a milestone moment for the SportCaller team”. He is also looking forward to working with the Bally team and continuing to “create an innovative F2P product that engages sports fans on a global scale”.
