Ceuta stood out once again at the XI edition of Alhambra Venture, the largest entrepreneurship event in southern Spain, held from July 10-12 in Granada. Six startups from El Ángulo traveled to represent the Autonomous City at this prominent entrepreneurial gathering.
This participation marks the second time Ceuta Open Future has been part of Alhambra Venture, following last year's success. The Ceuta startups had their own stands and showcased their innovative projects to attendees. The six startups included:
- Vellolar: Provides at-home aesthetic and hairdressing services for people with reduced mobility.
- Clouthy: A fashion marketplace that consolidates all city stores into one app, allowing users to view catalogs, place orders, and receive them in less than 30 minutes.
- Lenora: Develops solutions for the healthcare sector based on software and new management models.
- Kikoto: An online platform for ferry bookings, available on web and apps for iOS and Android, covering almost all shipping companies and routes in Spain.
- Snailstep: A health and wellness app that rewards users for staying active daily, offering discounts on products and services from local businesses.
- Medhionine: A medical communication agency that combines science, creativity, and technology to assist medical journals, scientific societies, and the pharmaceutical industry in creating content and promoting advances.
Additionally, Medhionine and Snailstep made pitches as finalists, presenting their solutions to over 300 investors. Microloop, an El Ángulo-accelerated platform connecting e-commerce businesses with freelancers, was also present.
Participation in Alhambra Venture provides a valuable opportunity for startups from Ceuta Open Future to gain visibility and networking opportunities essential in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ceuta’s Economy, Finance, and Public Function Minister also attended the event, highlighting the fiscal and strategic advantages of the Autonomous City for entrepreneurs.
Ceuta, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, is an ideal place for entrepreneurship due to its unparalleled climate, strategic geographic location, and favorable tax benefits. This commitment to innovation and technology is reflected in Ceuta Open Future, which promotes talent, digital transformation, entrepreneurship, and technological training, enriching the city’s business landscape.
