Company reaffirms its target of $1.4 billion in consolidated AEBITDA by 2025
Light & Wonder, Inc has announced that it will appeal the recent order of the US District Court for the District of Nevada granting Aristocrat an injunction related to Dragon Train gaming. Light & Wonder expressed its disagreement with the decision and confirmed that it will continue to defend its position in the litigation, including taking its arguments to a jury.
Despite this legal setback, the company reaffirmed its strong goal of achieving a consolidated AEBITDA of $1.4 billion by 2025, with expectations of continued growth in all its divisions. The company noted that Dragon Train represented less than 5% of that projection, and stressed that it is implementing measures to minimise any commercial impact from the court order.
Light & Wonder emphasised the strength of its franchise portfolio, citing successes such as Ultimate Fire Link™, 88 Fortunes®, Dancing Drums®, and Huff N' Puff®, among others. These franchises, according to the company, have been key to its leadership in the North American market, with games ranking top in sales and performance.
Matt Wilson, President and CEO of Light & Wonder, expressed his confidence in the company's future:
‘We are confident that our growth trajectory will remain strong. Despite this decision, our focus on innovation and game development will continue to drive our long-term success, keeping us at the forefront of the industry.’
