The Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance (SPA-MF) held its first public hearing, virtually, on Friday, February 21, with the goal of gathering suggestions for the elaboration of the Secretariat's Regulatory Agenda for the 2025-2026 biennium.
The hearing is part of a broader
public consultation that will extend until March 27, seeking to involve the public, industry companies, consumers, professionals, and other stakeholders.
During the hearing, which had the participation of over 200 people, concerns related to responsible gambling, combating illegal activities, and other regulated areas were highlighted. The Secretary of Prizes and Betting of the MF, Regis Dudena, expressed his satisfaction with the contributions presented, noting that many of them align with the SPA's ideas and bring new solutions to identified problems.
The proposed regulatory agenda submitted for public consultation includes 14 priority projects for 2025 and 2026, classified into three thematic axes: promotion of responsible gambling, balanced regulatory environment, and strengthening of regulation and oversight. Contributions can be made until March 27 through the Participa + Brasil Platform. The final report of the public consultation will be released on April 4.
