Claudio Marinelli (INTERPOL) leads regional cooperation in the recovery of illicit assets in Latin America and the Caribbean
Claudio Marinelli, Operations Coordinator of INTERPOL's Financial Crimes and Anti-Corruption Centre (IFCACC), was one of the key figures at the recent Silver Notice Regional Pilot Workshop, held in Buenos Aires with the support of the EL PAcCTO 2.0 program and the Argentine government.
The event brought together representatives from Latin American and Caribbean countries with the aim of strengthening international cooperation for the recovery of criminal assets, within the framework of the global #FollowTheMoney initiative. The Silver Notice tool is positioned as a fundamental tool for identifying and tracking assets linked to organized crime.
The Argentine Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, and the Chief of the Argentine Federal Police, Luis Alejandro Rolle, offered their institutional support to the meeting, highlighting INTERPOL's role in coordinating multilateral efforts.
"Our goal is to continue connecting global efforts to cut off the financial sources of organized crime. Asset recovery is not only a legal issue, but also an ethical and institutional responsibility issue," emphasizes Claudio Marinelli.
It is worth noting that Claudio Marinelli
was also a member of the jury at the 6th Responsible Gaming and CSR Awards, held in 2024 at the Teatro Real in Madrid, where
INTERPOL was recognized as the most outstanding institution in the promotion of Responsible Gaming for its work against illegal gambling networks and its promotion of institutional integrity.
