Below is the official statement released by NOVOMATIC Spain:
ADMIRAL RECEIVES AWARD FOR INITIATIVE FOR THE INTEGRATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
Madrid, June 26, 2025 — ADMIRAL, the gaming hall brand of the NOVOMATIC AG Group, has once again been recognized at the INFOPLAY Awards for its commitment to Responsible Gaming and social integration.
The Award for the Initiative for the Integration of People with Disabilities was presented to ADMIRAL during the 7th Responsible Gaming and CSR Awards 2025, held by INFOPLAY at the prestigious Teatro Real in Madrid on June 19. The accolade highlights the social impact of the “Running After a Dream” sports schools by ADMIRAL, an initiative promoted by the company and led by Paralympic athlete Lorenzo Albaladejo.
Antonio Fornés Cervera, Director of Institutional Relations at NOVOMATIC Spain, accepted the award alongside Lorenzo Albaladejo, expressing his gratitude:
“The organization of these awards has become a benchmark and a showcase for CSR initiatives in the sector. I am especially grateful to the regulators from the Community of Madrid for their support and cooperation in expanding the school project within the region, specifically at the sports facilities in Alcobendas, which will become a reality starting next September.”
Albaladejo also praised ADMIRAL’s role in the initiative:
“They believed in this project when no one else did and helped turn it into a growing reality.”
The athletes from the Murcia school themselves, who created and produced the video shared with this statement, expressed their gratitude for the recognition through the award.
Commitment to Inclusive Sports
The award-winning initiative originated in Chile in 2017 and was introduced to Spain in 2024 with the support of ADMIRAL. Its main goal is to promote sports among people with disabilities by creating a supportive, inclusive, and motivating environment. The Murcia-based sports school provides specialized training for individuals with cerebral palsy and other severe disabilities. In 2025, a new school opened in San Javier, specifically for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) from IES Mar Menor.
CSR Pillars as a Core Foundation
This initiative is part of NOVOMATIC AG Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, based on two main pillars:
Responsible Entertainment: Development of measures for user protection and awareness around responsible gambling.
Active in the Community: Promotion of social projects that foster inclusion, prevention, and collective well-being, including FES DISability, FES INTegrity, and the ADMIRAL Sports Awards.
Testimonies that Reflect Human Value
“Running After a Dream” by ADMIRAL not only addresses a real social need, but has also proven to be a transformative tool for its participants and their families.
“These kinds of projects, regardless of each person’s physical condition, help them connect, shed their fears… You realize there are many more moms out there, and it becomes a kind of therapy for us too. We support each other however we can,” said one family member.
Albaladejo adds:
“In the end, I believe sports transform lives. It connects us with others, with ourselves, with society, and sends the message that we can come here and strive to improve.”
As the athletes progress, so do the goals of the sports schools:
“As they evolve, the objectives change. I think that’s the real magic and unique value of this project. What sets ADMIRAL apart is that they were the first, and most importantly, they give us the confidence that they believe in our work and we will give our best to help this project grow,” concludes Albaladejo.
This recognition reaffirms ADMIRAL and NOVOMATIC Spain’s strong commitment to social integration through inclusive sports, positioning the company as a benchmark in the gaming sector for social responsibility.
