Volt will power real-time payments, replacing manual bank transfers for EPG’s digital wallet solution.
Merkur, through its subsidiary EPG Financial Services, has announced a strategic partnership with Volt, the global real-time payments platform. Volt will enable open banking payments for paylado, EPG’s e-wallet product focused on the German market.
With Volt’s integration, paylado users can now top up and withdraw funds in real-time, eliminating the delay and risk of manual bank transfers that previously took up to five days.
Rupert Kainzbauer, CEO of EPG Financial Services, stated:
“We chose Volt for its strong bank API connectivity and broad European reach. This partnership will significantly enhance the paylado user experience with faster top-ups and payouts.”
Anna Gladka, Volt’s Business Development Director, added:
“From the beginning, it was clear our solutions matched EPG’s needs. Launching with paylado is proof of our network strength and the seamless experience it delivers.”
The collaboration also supports Merkur’s expansion plans for paylado across Europe, highlighting its commitment to innovation in digital financial services.
