Entain welcomes the enactment on June 28, 2025, of amendments to New Zealand’s Racing Industry Act 2020, which establish a “legislative net” and extend TAB New Zealand (TAB NZ)’s exclusive rights from land-based wagering into the online arena.
Entain views this as a major step in bolstering the local industry’s long-term financial sustainability and strengthening harm minimisation measures. Under its 25-year strategic partnership with TAB NZ, Entain will make an additional NZ$100 million payment once the legislative net is fully in place.
