PokerStars has officially launched its new Cash Game Lobby Update on the .COM platform, going live today, July 15. This update introduces a dual table selection system designed to enhance the experience for both recreational and regular players.
The key feature is the integration of Seatfinder, PokerStars’ intelligent seating system, which will be applied to selected game types and stake levels. Traditional table and seat selection will remain available for high-stakes games, preserving the dynamics preferred by experienced players.
“With this update, we’re balancing efficiency with player preference,” said Dan Price, Head of Poker Games & Performance at PokerStars. “Seatfinder enhances the experience for new and casual players while respecting the needs of higher-stakes play.”
The rollout follows extensive internal analysis and successful trials in Southern Europe and Italy, where players responded positively to the Seatfinder system.
Key Improvements in the Updated Cash Game Lobby:
Streamlined Interface: Each stake level now appears as a single line in the lobby, replacing the cluttered list of individual tables and making navigation faster and more intuitive.
Healthier Poker Ecosystem: By eliminating the ability to target specific opponents, Seatfinder reduces predatory behavior and fosters a more welcoming environment for recreational players.
