FBM Foundation led a major relief operation across Luzon, providing much-needed assistance to communities affected by Typhoons Crising, Dante, and Emong. On July 27, the Foundation mobilized and distributed 1,000 relief packages in Batangas City, Caloocan City, and Quezon City, offering vital support to families facing displacement and hardship.
The mission was led by Pepe Costa, FBM Foundation Representative in the Philippines, and Lulu Barreras, Community Service Project Coordinator.
The first stop was Batangas City, where 500 relief packages were distributed to families affected by flooding. Welcomed by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the Foundation was praised for its efficient and heartfelt approach to emergency response.
Next, in Barangay 176-C, Caloocan City, 200 families received emergency supplies. Persistent rains and poor drainage had heavily impacted the area. With the support of Barangay Captain Nelfa Cabantac, the distribution was carried out swiftly and effectively.
The final destination was Barangay Talayan, in Quezon City, where 300 packages were delivered to flood-affected households. The effort was coordinated in collaboration with Richard Cabugsanon, a proactive resident who reached out to the Foundation seeking help for his community.
This one-day relief mission was made possible by 12 dedicated volunteers who ensured not only the delivery of essential items but also the presence of empathy, hope, and human connection in times of crisis.
This swift and thoughtful response underscores FBM Foundation’s commitment to uplifting lives, acting swiftly, and promoting community resilience. From emergency response to long-term projects, the Foundation continues to drive meaningful and sustainable change across the Philippines and beyond.
