Comar closed 2025 with a net profit of 35.5 million euros, more than 10% above the result obtained during the previous year. The Galician gaming group, founded and chaired by José Collazo Mato, also increased its revenues to almost 150 million euros, with a year-on-year growth of 7.6%.

This is clear from the consolidated Statement of Non-Financial Information for 2025, which also reflects a profit before tax of €46.3 million. The company accounted for €9.1 million in corporate income tax, in addition to the corresponding financial expenses.

Comar exceeds 1,000 workers for the first time

The growth in activity was also transferred to employment. The workforce went from 981 workers in 2024 to 1,052 at the end of 2025, which represents the net incorporation of 71 professionals and an increase of more than 7%.

The group is made up of 53 companies and articulates its activity around two main areas. The main one corresponds to face-to-face and online gambling, with casinos, bingo halls, gaming halls, machines, sports betting and internet gambling licenses.

Comar also maintains interests in real estate development, public car parks, shopping centres, event organisation, administrative concessions and the media.

Eighteen casinos and more than 2,400 machines

The operational dimension achieved by the company places Comar among the main Spanish groups in the sector. At the end of 2025 it managed:

  • 18 casinos.
  • More than 2,400 gaming machines.
  • 14 gaming halls.
  • Approximately 600 betting points.
  • Six bingo halls.
  • Two general licenses and five singular licenses for online gambling.

Outside of the strictly gambling-related business, its structure also included seven car parks, a shopping centre, two event centres and six newspapers.

In its corporate report, Comar defines itself as "the business group that operates the largest number of casinos in Spain" and as the main casino operator in the Community of Madrid, where it manages strategic establishments such as the Casino Gran Vía and the Gran Casino de Aranjuez.

The company is also positioned as the leading operator of bingo halls in Galicia and one of the main players in the Galician machine market. Its international presence is especially concentrated in the Dominican Republic, where it is considered a benchmark operator within the casino segment.

The 2025 results consolidate José Collazo's business position within the Spanish gaming industry. Comar combines a wide territorial deployment with a diversified structure and a prominent presence in Madrid, Galicia and the Dominican market.

The group also identifies a growing trend towards business concentration in a historically atomised market, marked by the expansion of medium and large operators towards autonomous communities other than those in which they started their activity.
