The new Andalusian regulator, Cristóbal Lara, makes its debut before the sector at the Torremolinos Gaming Expo Congress

The 14th ExpoCongreso de Juego – Luis Escribano, which will be held on September 16 and 17 in Torremolinos, will be the scene of the debut before the sector of the new head of Gaming of the Junta de Andalucía, Cristóbal Lara Cátedra.

His participation acquires special relevance as it takes place just a few weeks after his appointment as director general of Taxes, Financing, Financial Relations with Local Corporations and Gambling.

The Governing Council of the Junta de Andalucía approved his appointment on 31 August. Born in Jaén in 1973, Lara has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, a degree in Business Law from the San Pablo CEU University and a State Tax Inspector. He has developed his professional career in different destinations within the State Tax Administration Agency. Regional Government of Andalusia

The ExpoCongreso will therefore be his first major public appearance before Andalusian gambling entrepreneurs, associations and professionals since he assumed regulatory powers.

Manuel Vázquez Martín, Secretary General of Finance of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds of the Regional Government of Andalusia, will participate alongside Cristóbal Lara Cátedra, who will preside over both the inauguration and the institutional closing of the meeting.

Public representation will be completed with heads from other autonomous communities:

• Ruth Andérez Alonso, Director General of Institutional Relations of the Junta de Castilla y León.
• Nerea Alday Garate, Director General of Gaming and Entertainment of the Government of the Basque Country.
• Inmaculada Domínguez Calomarde, general director of Taxes and Gambling of the Generalitat Valenciana.
• Fátima Pablos Mateos, Director General of Taxes of the Junta de Extremadura.
• Ramón Cubián Martínez, general director of Land and the Madrid Nuevo Norte Office and head of Gaming of the Community of Madrid.
• Eduardo Prieto Jiménez, director of the Tax Agency of the Region of Murcia.

The joint presence of these regional leaders will make the ExpoCongreso a privileged space to learn about the different regulatory and fiscal priorities that will mark the evolution of the sector.

The official opening ceremony will take place on September 16 at 1:00 p.m . and will be chaired by Manuel Vázquez Martín.

The authorities will then visit the exhibition to learn about the novelties presented by the participating companies.

At 1:30 p.m. a cocktail-lunch will be offered at the stands themselves. The exhibition will remain open until 6:00 p.m.

The 14th edition will bring together 22 exhibiting companies and will have a wide support of sponsors, consolidating Torremolinos as one of the great commercial and institutional showcases of the Spanish gaming industry. INFOPLAY

The second day will begin on September 17 at 10:00 a.m . with the opening of the exhibition.

At 10:30 a.m. the closing ceremony of the Congress will be held, chaired again by Manuel Vázquez Martín.

At 11:00 a.m., Daniel Lacalle, PhD in Economics, international financial analyst, specialist in macroeconomic analysis and investment manager, will speak.

Lacalle, author of several books on economic dissemination and a regular contributor to the media, will bring an economic and financial vision to a meeting marked by regulatory and business news.

At 1:30 p.m. a new cocktail-lunch will be served at the stands and the exhibition will close its doors at 6:00 p.m.
