Activism enters the Las Vegas G2E fair
Global Gaming Women will bring a conversation with activist Elizabeth Smart to the main stage of G2E 2026, in a program that combines this reflection on resilience and overcoming with the presence of the main CEOs of the sector and a special talk with hockey legend Wayne Gretzky.
The organization, presented by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and organized by RX, has confirmed the Main Stage schedule of the Global Gaming Expo for September 29 and 30 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas.
On Wednesday, September 30, activist Elizabeth Smart will sit down with Meghan Speranzo, Global Gaming Women's Co-Chair of Mentoring, in a conversation focused on resilience, mental adversity, and what it means for professionals, and especially women, to show up as whole people and not as headlines. The session, titled "Identity Beyond the Headline: Power, Voice and Resilience at Work," explores how to reclaim authorship of one's own story beyond labels, expectations, and the moments that try to define it.
This space dedicated to activism and professional well-being joins an opening day, on Tuesday, September 29, in which Bill Miller, president and CEO of the AGA, will open the event with his keynote speech to welcome attendees and underline the innovation, strength and collaboration that drive the legal gaming industry in its largest annual event.
This will be followed by a moderated conversation on the current state of the industry in the U.S. and around the world, with CNBC's Contessa Brewer leading the discussion on expansion, integrated resorts, technology, tourism and the forces that define long-term growth. Participants will include Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and President of MGM Resorts International; Tom Reeg, CEO of Caesars Entertainment; and Craig Billings, CEO of Wynn Resorts.
Following this talk, Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, will talk to historic hockey player Wayne Gretzky about the convergence between sport, digital innovation, sports betting and what it really takes to achieve excellence, in a talk that will combine Gretzky's reflections on his career with Greenblatt's lessons at the helm of one of the most recognized brands in the gaming industry.
The organization has announced that the rest of the Main Stage program corresponding to Monday, September 28 will be announced in the coming weeks.
