The Minister of Finance of the Autonomous City, Kissy Chandiramani, has confirmed exclusively to INFOPLAY this morning that Luis Escribano will finally not be able to attend the Expo Congress. The reason, as he tells us bluntly, is the moment that the city is experiencing: "Ceuta is still very bad".
Despite not being able to pack her bags, Chandiramani did not want to miss the event without addressing those who will be there today. The Minister has sent through INFOPLAY a warm greeting to the entire industry gathered these days in Torremolinos, to which she conveys her closeness and her best wishes for an edition that starts full of enthusiasm.
Their absence is explained by the difficult situation that Ceuta has been going through since last summer, marked by an intense migratory crisis that has lasted for the last few weeks and that keeps its managers focused on day-to-day management. In this context, the trip has had to be parked.
But no one should take Ceuta's absence for granted. The city will continue to be very present at the fair with its tax team, a delegation of weight for a territory that has become one of the great poles of online gambling in Spain. As confirmed by the organization itself to INFOPLAY, Enrique Reyes, managing director of Ceuta Tax Services, and Emilio Fernández Fernández, director of Taxes of the organization, will be in Torremolinos.
With Reyes and Fernández at the helm, Ceuta is keeping open the door that it has been opening for years to the sector: that of a tax destination that concentrates a large part of the companies authorized to operate in online gambling in the country and that does not want to miss one of the great events of the year.
