"Mi Gente!": Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Supports Hispanic Community with $100,000 in Donations
The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa has launched its "My Rhythm. My Flavor. My Gente!" commemorative program for Hispanic Heritage Month, supporting Central Florida's Latino community through a direct donation of $100,000.
This financial endowment has been distributed equally among ten local non-profit organizations, each of them receiving 10,000 dollars in recognition of their social, educational and cultural work. With this third consecutive edition adding ten annual entities, the company reaches a total of thirty beneficiary organizations in the region.
The organizations selected in this call are Boricuas de Corazón, Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation, Escuela de Bomba y Plena, HAPBWA Women's Association, Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando, Hispanic Federation, Iroko Dance Academy Foundation, MiGente MiPueblo, Inc., Miss Latina Tampa and Wattaka. Lourdes M. Mola, Vice President of Latino Business Development for Seminole Gaming and Seminole Hard Rock, stressed the importance of supporting groups that strengthen the social fabric, while Travis Lunn, President of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa, ratified the entity's commitment to generate a positive impact and offer experiences where the community and visitors feel fully integrated and celebrated.
The commemoration, which will run until October 15, has a varied agenda of entertainment and thematic proposals in the facilities of the complex. The program integrates musical evenings with events such as "Latin Night" at The Rez Grill, weekly sessions with salsa classes at L Bar and the special performance of the Venezuelan group Adolescentes Orquesta at Hard Rock Cafe. At the same time, the resort's gastronomic offer incorporates the "Sabores" initiative, a special limited-time menu distributed in several of its restaurants that pays tribute to traditional Latin American dishes and recipes.
