The second vice-president of Ceuta receives special recognition at the III Women's Entrepreneurship and Leadership Awards.
Kissy Chandiramani, Second Vice-President of the Government of Ceuta and Minister of Finance, Economic Transition and Digital Transformation, has received special recognition at the III Women's Entrepreneurship and Leadership Awards. The award rewards her career in public service and her contribution to the diversification, innovation and digital transformation of the Ceuta economy.
The gala was held at the Castle of Santa Ana in Roquetas de Mar (Almeria), with the slogan "Creating female role models in favour of equality". It brought together more than a hundred institutional, business and social representatives from different parts of Spain.
Chandiramani was unable to collect the award in person. On her behalf was the Minister of Trade, Tourism, Employment and Sport of Ceuta, Nicola Cecchi, who stressed in his speech that the vice-president has been one of the main promoters of an economic model aimed at diversification, innovation and digitalisation. He also underlined his commitment to the presence of women in positions of political responsibility and to the strengthening of relations between Ceuta and Andalusia.
The minister also referred to the difficulties that the city is going through after the events of July 30, which affected commerce, tourism and hospitality, and sent a message of confidence: "Ceuta knows how to get up," said Nicola Cecchi.
The mayor of Roquetas de Mar, Gabriel Amat, gave Cecchi a metope and the Book of the City to send to Ceuta.
