Last weekend the authorities announced the authorization for the reopening of gaming establishments in two Argentine provinces, while companies and employees in the rest of the country continue to claim their right to work and have proposed strict security protocols.
Catamarca and San Juan, two provinces located more than a thousand kilometers from Buenos Aires, have been the first to receive authorization to reopen their gaming halls.
In San Juan, the hours have been adjusted and the casinos will be able to open the doors from 10 am to 8 pm, from Sunday to Thursday; while Friday and Saturday, they can remain open until midnight.
The security protocol includes the following measures:
- Clients' hands and shoes will be sanitized at the door
- Body temperature control at the entrance
- Mandatory use of masks
- Separators to guarantee two meters between machines
- Capacity reduced to 30%
- Permanent disinfection of machines, chairs and tables
- The table games, manual roulette or bar areas will not be working.
On the other hand, they have been established fixed work shifts, with small groups and two supervisors. The purpose of this measure is that, in case of contagion in some shift, the spread can be controlled and the corresponding isolation can be carried out.
