KIROLBET Baskonia conquers their fourth lightweight title after a dreamt about final that reaffirms the character of a group that refused to give up.
Amazing feat led by KIROLBET Baskonia in Fuente de San Luis, they have conquered their fourth lightweight trophy. Luca Vildoza disguised himself as a hero with the last basket that concluded Baskonia´s decade long drought without titles.
This is the first title in KIROLBET´s era, and they hope it is not the last. It has been five seasons since KIROLBET and Saski Baskonia started their joint project, a very important collaboration for both entities that has meant a strong base centered on growth and stability in both projects.
These last five years have implied a long journey in which both brands have joined efforts in very good times, and other not as good moments. A collaboration centered around basque identity, which has been corresponded with this success in this fourth lightweight title.
As they said in their very first press conference, they came with the firm intention of helping Baskonia get set in the place they deserve and maintain themselves as one of the top tier teams in Europe. They came with the faith of accomplishing something big, which has always characterized them, and so they have done. They know their baskonia heart has power over them, but they also have always believed in their possibilities. They have once again recovered their game, intensity and character that distinguishes them and has led them to success.
2019 was the year baskonism put words into the character that makes the team and fans unique. An initiative pushed by KIROLBET, where they aimed to come up with a Baskonia Character´s definition that best represented the fans’ feelings. Baskonists were asked to share their own definition and two Artificial Intelligence experts were involved in the creation of the most mathematically accurate Baskonia Character definition.
A characteristic that isn't understood without the direct input of master Dusko Ivanovic and that they have interiorized and assimilated some time ago as the team´s DNA season after season.
After the accomplished feat, here we have the definition of that C-H-A-R-A-C-T-E-R that has made them proud of being part of the wonderful blue and red family.
