The American Gaming Association (AGA) has published a new update on the current situation of sports betting in the United States and confirms that there are currently 30 states where it is already legal.

“Live, Legal”: (30 states + DC) states where single-game sports betting is legally offered to consumers through online or retail sportsbooks.
"Legal - Not Yet Operational": (3 states) states that have authorized sports betting, but have not yet launched.
“Active or Pre-Filed Legislation”: (12 states) jurisdictions where bills to legalize single-game sports betting have been pre-filed/introduced in the state legislature or where a voter referendum is scheduled.
