NOVOMATIC hosted the sixth edition of its NOVO Company Day at its headquarters in Gumpoldskirchen, Lower Austria, gathering over 1,000 employees for a full day focused on occupational health and safety.
The event was attended by local authorities, including Gumpoldskirchen’s Mayor Dagmar Händler, and the NOVOMATIC Executive Board, who officially opened the day’s activities.
In their opening remarks, the Executive Board emphasized the company's commitment to employee well-being: “The health of our employees is essential to building strong teams, driving innovation and ensuring long-term growth.”
Mayor Händler praised the company’s role in the region: “As Gumpoldskirchen’s largest employer, NOVOMATIC demonstrates a high degree of responsibility towards its workforce, from safe working environments to a strong focus on health.”
The day included an inspiring keynote by extreme cyclist Christoph Strasser, as well as various sports activities such as street racket, spikeball, table tennis and archery. Employees also participated in agility tests and quick reaction exercises in cooperation with the Austrian organization ASKÖ. Safety training workshops were held on-site, including defibrillator use and VR fire extinguisher simulations.
Organizations such as Hilfswerk offered information on caregiving and the local police shared tips on incident prevention.
The Health Day was officially recognized as a Green Event, underscoring NOVOMATIC’s commitment to sustainability and health promotion. On the occasion of its 45th anniversary, the company continues to prioritize a workplace culture centered on people and safety.
