Scientific Games Unveils Obsidian, All-Black Holographic Lottery Scratch Games

This new line of holographic products, distinguished by an all-black design, will debut at the North American Association of State & Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) 2025 Conference, taking place September 8–11 in Ontario, Canada.

Featuring 18 unique design concepts, Obsidian games combine deep black tones with holographic elements to create a sleek, glasslike appearance. Inspired by the naturally occurring volcanic rock, the collection delivers a bold, ultra-premium look and scratch experience.


Obsidian is part of a portfolio of new products that Scientific Games will unveil at NASPL 2025. Developed by the company’s Innovation and Discovery teams at its global headquarters in metro Atlanta — home to the world’s largest instant lottery game production facility — the new line will also be produced at Scientific Games’ facilities in Canada and the UK.
