Playtech has officially rolled out its retail sports betting offering across the MSC Cruises fleet, marking its debut in the cruise leisure sector through a strategic partnership established earlier this year.
As the world’s third largest cruise line and the European market leader with a growing presence in North America, MSC Cruises provides a powerful platform for Playtech’s global expansion into new verticals.
MSC’s onboard casinos already feature a diverse mix of slot machines, video poker, and classic table games such as Roulette, Blackjack, Three Card Poker, and Texas Hold’em. The introduction of sports betting now gives guests even more ways to engage, with wagers available on a wide range of sporting events via Self-Service Betting Terminals and Playtech’s newly developed mobile tills, seamlessly integrated with guest accounts for a secure and smooth experience.
“We are excited to partner with MSC Cruises and bring our retail sports betting solutions to their impressive fleet,” said Yori Arami, VP Sports at Playtech. “This partnership represents a major milestone as we continue to expand our offerings and deliver unique, engaging experiences for players both on land and at sea.”
Mara Friso, Head of Casino at MSC Cruises, added: “We are very proud to deliver the excitement of sports gaming to our guests in partnership with Playtech. Our fleet of modern cruise ships will offer customers an extensive array of immersive digital content alongside our state-of-the-art casinos.”
The initial rollout is now live across seven MSC vessels, with further deployments planned in the coming months, powered by Playtech’s cutting-edge retail sports betting technology.
