The Scandinavian gaming operator increased both its revenues and net profits throughout the financial year, allowing the distribution of 33.1 million euros for public projects and charitable groups.
The international gaming company Paf has reached a historic figure in its corporate history. Coinciding with the presentation of its annual results, the operator based in the Åland Islands has announced that the total sum of its funds distributed for the benefit of society has officially surpassed the barrier of 500 million euros since its foundation in 1966.
This accumulated achievement has been supported by a strong financial performance during the last year, in which Paf managed to increase both its revenue volume and global net profits compared to the previous period. Following this solid economic balance, the board of directors has proposed the allocation of a 33.1 million euro package for its subsequent distribution into social, cultural, and sports projects and institutions.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Paf, Jan-Mikael von Schantz, expressed his enormous public satisfaction with the achievement of these figures. Von Schantz wanted to highlight the daily effort and the capacity for evolution demonstrated by the organization's entire workforce of professionals during the last twelve months, factors that he considers decisive in having been able to shape such a positive financial year for the interests of the entity.
From an operational perspective, the growth of Paf's revenue has once again been built upon its already traditional business model based on responsible gaming and sustainable income. The company has systematically set itself apart within the international industry through the application of strict risk control tools, including the recent reduction applied to its mandatory loss limit, which dropped from 16,000 to 15,000 euros annually per customer.
The redistribution of all profits generated through its activity constitutes the foundational reason for Paf's existence. Each year, the regional Government of the Åland Islands is responsible for channeling and granting these funds through an exhaustive system of loans and subsidies aimed at financing investments in the local environment, promoting activities that range from the encouragement of grassroots sports and culture to the protection of a safe and clean environment.
