Inspired throws the first blow towards ICE Barcelona 2027: sponsors high-level solidarity boxing

ICE Barcelona 2027 is still months away, but Inspired Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ: INSE) has already decided to make a name for itself ahead of the show. The company, a B2B provider of content, technology, hardware and gaming systems, has announced that it will be the Platinum Impact Partner of Midnight Mayhem, the solidarity boxing event organized by Behind the Gloves Ltd that will be held as a parallel event to ICE Barcelona 2027.

The fight will bring together 18 senior executives from the global gaming industry, who will step into the ring on January 19, 2027 – just around the time of the show – after months of intensive training. The goal is to raise more than 150,000 euros for charitable causes, with each participant choosing their own.

A sponsorship with its own name: Robin Hutchison

As part of its commitment to the event, Inspired has decided to specifically support Robin Hutchison, Chief Commercial Officer of the London media agency Square in the Air and a veteran of the sector with previous stages at Entain, Coral and Ladbrokes. Hutchison will box on behalf of Parkinson's UK, honouring close family members living with the disease.

"My father and uncle live with Parkinson's, so this is much more than just getting in a ring. It's an opportunity to raise funds and visibility for my chosen cause, while giving back to families facing similar challenges," explained Hutchison, who is already preparing for the months of training that lie ahead.

Claire Osborne, Managing Director of Interactive at Inspired, framed the sponsorship precisely in that logic of anticipation of the fair: "Midnight Mayhem reflects the spirit of our industry coming together to make a real difference, while preparing for what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of ICE Barcelona 2027."

Other beneficiary causes

Beyond Hutchison, the funds raised will also benefit CHIPS Charity, which provides motorized wheelchairs to children with severe mobility issues; The Oliver's Wish Foundation, which supports children and young people in situations of adversity; and Support Our Paras, the charity of the Parachute Regiment and the British Airborne Forces. The allocation of funds will be overseen by an independent advisory board, and the event is affiliated with WBC Cares UK, the solidarity arm of the World Boxing Council.

Lee McFarland, founder of Behind the Gloves, thanked Inspired for its incorporation as a Platinum Impact Partner and recalled that most of the 18 executives who will step into the ring had never put on a boxing glove before.
