Ceuta promises "greater tax and social advantages" to online gambling operators after its visit to Lisbon

Ceuta has closed its participation in the SBC Summit Lisbon, held from September 29 to October 1, 2026 in the Portuguese capital, with a clear message for companies in the online gambling sector. Enrique Reyes Rodríguez, managing director of Ceuta Tax Services, summed up the autonomous city's objective in a post on LinkedIn: "And not only more energy, but also greater tax and social advantages. And we will grow exponentially. We are waiting for you".

With this message, Reyes Rodríguez has once again shared another publication of his from three days ago, written in the middle of the fair, in which he said: "We continue forward, with more and more energy". It was accompanied by images of the Gaming Ceuta stand, the city's own space at the fairgrounds.

Ceuta's presence in Lisbon has been led by the Ministry of Finance, Economic Transition and Digital Transformation. Its goal is to attract technological investment and get digital gaming companies to set up their headquarters in the city, taking advantage of the territory's tax incentives.

Ceuta has been attending the SBC Summit Lisbon without interruption since 2019. This year, the Portuguese event is once again one of the city's showcases to the international online gaming sector, with direct contact with operators, suppliers and professionals.

Reyes Rodríguez's words point to a strategy that does not stop at taxation: he also speaks of social advantages and a forecast of exponential growth of the ecosystem of gaming companies based in the city.
