Chile opens a new tender for two casino permits: one national and one reserved for Aysén
Operators have until April 12, 2027 to submit their bids.
The Superintendence of Gaming Casinos (SCJ), the body that regulates and supervises land-based casinos in Chile, has begun a new process for granting operating permits. A permit at the national level and another for the Aysén region, in the south of the country, are at stake, where there is a quota in reserve pending assignment. The process was opened with Exempt Resolutions 992 and 993, of October 14, 2026.
The technical bases of the contest, approved by Exempt Resolutions 989 and 990 of the same date, are already available on the Superintendence's website along with the application system and its user manual. Both those who aspire to a new permit and those who want to renew the one they already have can apply.
Interested parties have 120 working days to prepare their technical and economic offers, which will be delivered at the hearing set for Monday, April 12, 2027, at 10:00 a.m., at the headquarters of the Superintendence in Santiago. Before that, until November 3, bidders will be able to raise queries and request clarifications by email, and the regulator will have fifteen days to respond to them. After the hearing, the Superintendence will have another 120 working days to evaluate the technical offers with the methodology set out in the bases.
The call comes after operators such as Marina del Sol warned of the low participation in casino tenders in the country.
