After two months of closing, there's still no firm plan for the reopening of the casinos, but the way is clear.
Quarantine is being relaxed and many companies will be able to resume operations on May 15. Although this does not include bars and casinos, the Nevada governor has ceded authority to authorize those openings to the Gaming Control Board, as reported in the local press.
Therefore, the Board now requires casinos to submit a plan indicating that they are following a mandatory list of precautions, and that they are prepared to conduct business and obtain approval to open.
Hence, most major companies say they plan to partially open their casinos and restaurants on June 1.
Return of sports betting houses
Las Vegas sportsbooks that deactivated their mobile betting apps are starting to operate. South Point and Westgate resumed mobile betting last week and others that have closed soon are expected to do the same.
