BurraPay's cryptocurrency payment system.
The SAHARA complex incorporates a system authorized by the Nevada regulator that facilitates the use of digital assets in the land-based casino, while its provider prepares new facilities.
Las Vegas casinos are making progress in incorporating new means of payment with the implementation of a system that allows customers to use cryptocurrencies to obtain chips and other gaming instruments in land-based establishments.
The SAHARA Las Vegas complex has incorporated the platform developed by BurraPay during October, becoming the first casino on the Las Vegas Strip to offer this conversion modality to play in its facilities.
The technology is licensed by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the body responsible for overseeing gambling activity in the state.
The system allows cryptocurrencies to be converted into casino chips or gaming vouchers, integrating digital assets into the payment procedures of regulated establishments.
BurraPay had begun operations in Nevada in June 2026 through a collaboration with Circa Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas, where it processed a cryptocurrency-funded sports bet.
The expansion doesn't end at SAHARA. According to information released by CDC Gaming on Nov. 1, BurraPay is in talks with other Nevada casinos and is preparing new facilities in the coming weeks.
The company is also working with regulatory authorities in different U.S. jurisdictions to extend its technology to new establishments.
Its managers highlight that the system incorporates procedures for identification, supervision of operations and prevention of money laundering, aspects that are especially sensitive when digital assets are used in gambling establishments.
The implementation of these solutions requires making innovation in payment methods compatible with the control and traceability obligations that authorised operators must comply with
