The Tarragona prosecutor's office accepted the complaint about alleged irregularities during the various procedures around the land where the Hard Rock complex would be built. Consequently, you will have to assess the facts and determine whether the law has been broken.
The environmental organizations Aturem BCN World and Gepec-Edc denounced the nullity of the license award for casino operations, since the acquisition of the land by Hard Rock has not yet been finalized. In addition, they stressed in the complaint that the extensions granted for the purchase of the land are also irregular.
On the other hand, as we recently published, the Parliament rejected the proposal on the suspension of the sale of the land and the motion that urged not to appeal the decision of the Superior Court of Justice of Catalonia, which annuls the urban plan of the project for being in a risk zone due to Tarragona's petrochemical industry.
It should be noted that there is a proposal to relocate some areas of the complex so that the risk areas specified in the decision of the TSJC are not used.
