MGM Resorts International has announced a significant $50,000 donation to Signs of HOPE to support the empowerment of survivors of all forms of human trafficking.
MGM Resorts International highlights that Signs of HOPE, an organization formerly known as The Rape Crisis Center, provides a wide range of services for hundreds of survivors of violence and sexual exploitation.
Daniele Staple, executive director of Signs of HOPE, assures that “These funds will go a long way in helping us meet the myriad needs our clients express – from travel to reunite with supportive family members, to housing and food support, to expanding our response through our ALERT hotline to include hotel security partners. This also provides a vital match to our federal funding, which is incredibly helpful to bring more resources into Nevada.”
The program called R.I.S.E. uses a victim-centered approach that includes detailed assessment of the individual's circumstances to determine the best-suited shelter, medical, educational and therapeutic services.
On the other hand, Jyoti Chopra, Chopra Chief People, Inclusion & Sustainability Officer for MGM Resorts International, emphasizes that “Investing in our communities is one of our core social impact pillars because we believe that together we can create a better future for all”.
