Evolution has inaugurated in Lisbon an unprecedented technological development center that occupies a total of 1,500 m2 and will house a complete software development unit for a new generation of content for the online gaming industry.
Evolution plans to hire 150 people, mostly engineers and programmers. This team in formation will join the company's more than 1,000 software engineers, and a total of more than 13,000 people, spread over two dozen locations around the world.
The inauguration of this new headquarters of Evolution has been attended by personalities such as Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon; David Craelius, Group Technology Director; Anastasija Priede, Director of Engineering Operations and Global Growth at Evolution; and, Professor Pedro Almeida, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.
We must point out that Carlos Moedas values the fact that Evolution chose Lisbon for this magnificent hub and says: “I see this opportunity in the city. The opportunity to think differently. And we will make a difference in the way young people think about education and other areas, while pushing the market to think differently.”
Along these lines, David Craelius mentions the potential of Portugal and explains that among the advantages that determined the choice of Lisbon are "the local culture and what it offers in terms of talent in engineering".
