Playtech Announces Launch of Multiple Partnerships in Ontario

Playtech highlights in a press release that Ontario is the newest regulated market in North America, after several providers were licensed by the Ontario Gaming Commission.

The company will announce a new wave of partnerships in Ontario in the coming weeks. It also emphasizes that the new regulatory framework in Ontario will ensure high standards in several areas, including responsible gaming, where clear policies and procedures will be required to identify, prevent and minimize the risks of harm related to gaming and mechanisms for monitor the risk profiles of players.

Shimon Akad, COO at Playtech, considers that this is a great step for the company, he is satisfied with the presence in the market from day one and anticipates that new launches are expected in the coming days.

“We also expect Ontario to be at the forefront of responsible gambling, where our technology and ability through artificial intelligence to analyze certain player behavior will be particularly relevant and important,” he added.

Playtech has previously been active in Ontario through its work with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, to which it has been providing data analytics technology, among other things.

On the other hand, she reiterates that Playtech's artificial intelligence enables the analysis of player behavior and flags signs of problematic gaming early on. Likewise, it makes it possible to interact with those players using automated tools and personalized messages.
