Despite the challenges many companies faced due to rising costs last year, Luckia managed to set a record for its consolidated EBITDA. Its turnover also surpassed its pre-pandemic best, reaching €586.9 million, an increase of 9%.

Luckia's consolidated accounts, filed with the Mercantile Registry and reviewed by Economía Digital Galicia, reveal this impressive turnaround in results. Although assets decreased slightly from 302 to 288 million euros, the group's net equity increased from 28.9 to 38.1 million.

Operating profit, indicative of the company's activity, increased sixfold from €4.7 million to €28.7 million.

Luckia's administrators attribute this progress in results to its ability to outperform pre-pandemic results in 2019, despite the challenges arising from the Covid pandemic in 2020 and 2021. They explain that this success is largely due to the solid results obtained by the casino division in Latin America and online gambling in Spain.

In terms of debt, Luckia managed to reduce its long-term debt with credit institutions from €151 million to €116 million. However, short-term debt increased from €21 million to €36 million.

In terms of revenue, the gaming and sports betting segment, both in physical establishments and online, was the main driver of group revenue, generating €368 million. An increase was also noted in the salons and operation business, which rose from 90.2 million to 112.23 million in one year. The casino business also experienced notable growth, increasing from EUR 38.4 million to EUR 72.6 million.

Latin America played a prominent role in Luckia's revenues, with 47 million coming from the region, compared to the 18.3 million generated in the Spanish market. Bingos also contributed €24.3 million, thanks to the lifting of restrictions by Covid.

In summary, Luckia closed 2022 with an impressive transformation, turning losses into remarkable gains and marking a milestone in its consolidated financial performance.
