PokerStars and Club Barrière have regretfully announced the cancellation of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris 2025, originally scheduled for February 2025.
The decision follows unforeseen changes in French government policies and ongoing regulatory developments in Paris, which are entirely beyond the organizers' control.
The current legal uncertainty surrounding licensing requirements has left no alternative but to cancel the event. However, PokerStars and Club Barrière are exploring the possibility of rescheduling EPT Paris at a later date. Both organizations remain committed to working with local authorities to establish a stable regulatory framework that would enable the return of this cherished stop on the EPT circuit.
The announcement has disappointed players and the wider poker community, especially those who had already secured online packages for EPT or FPS Paris. PokerStars confirmed that their team will directly contact affected players with further information. For additional inquiries, players can reach out via email at live@pokerstarslive.com or consult the FAQ section on the PokerStars blog.
