Ceuta shields in its 2027 budgets training for online gambling operators: RESPONSIBLE GAMING, CRM and CUSTOMER SERVICE
The 2027 Budget Report highlights the role of the sector and PROCESA once again reserves 180,000 euros for training
In Ceuta, online gambling has long since ceased to be a gamble and became a certainty, and the Draft Budget for 2027 leaves it in writing. The document, which amounts to 448.48 million euros in consolidated terms, 5.38% more than this year, dedicates several pages of its Report to the sector. And it does so bluntly.
In the section on the city's comprehensive development plan, the Ministry of Finance, Economic Transition and Digital Transformation states that "the good result that the implementation of online gambling companies in our city and the technology sector has had is undeniable". It adds that developing this axis "is of great importance for its consolidation and development". The Report also includes online gaming among the productive sectors that receive aid with the City's own resources.
The commitment is specified in the Specialized Training Plan for Online Gambling Operators. The City describes it as a training strategy designed with multinationals in the gaming sector in Ceuta to achieve a high level of immediate labor insertion. Its third edition offers 150 free places in mixed mode, divided into five specialties of 30 students: CRM and VIP Manager, customer service, payments, fraud, laundering and responsible gambling (according to the regulations of the General Directorate of Gambling Regulation and SEPBLAC), Product Manager and operations and marketing technician.
To enter, you must be registered in Ceuta and pass a business English test. Don't let anyone fall asleep: places are assigned in order of registration.
The budget of PROCESA, the city's development company that manages the program, once again reserves 180,000 euros for online gaming training in 2027, the same amount as this year. Infoplay has already told how the five free courses for 150 residents and the iGaming marketing technician course with Spanish Gaming Academy started.
The accounts come in a difficult year for the city, marked by the July crisis, in which the central government injected 453 million into Ceuta. Minister Kissy Chandiramani had already placed the gambling sector at the centre of Ceuta's economic transformation.
