As we anticipated at the beginning of the week, the Legislature of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires discussed important changes in the regulation of online gaming this Thursday. Thus, with a mixed participation - in person and virtual- of the deputies, the modification that allows land-based gaming companies to operate virtual bets was approved.
It is estimated that, in October, the permits will begin to be delivered to the applicant companies, among which are the Palermo Hippodrome and the Floating Casino, owned by Manuel Lao.
In addition, it should be noted that the City Government intends to collect about 500 million pesos per year in taxes (More than 5 million euros, approximately).
