Aristocrat recently announced the acquisition of Playtech for £ 2.7 billion. Now, Gopher Investments is confirmed to be exploring a £ 3bn offering and outperforming the Australian group's initial proposal.
Economic Media notes that Gopher had requested and been provided access to due diligence information to "explore the terms on which a potential offer could be made ...".
In this regard, Playtech has reported: "Discussions with Gopher are at an early stage and ongoing. As such, there can be no certainty that Gopher's approach will result in an offer to the company, nor as to the terms in the ones you can bid on."
