Veikkaus and Nokia Arena, located in Finland, have reached an agreement to end the casino lease early, which operated within the arena’s facilities.
The casino closed its doors in December 2023, and the space has remained unused since then. Veikkaus and Nokia Arena had a fixed-term lease for the premises.
“In a spirit of cooperation, we’ve worked towards an early termination of the lease, and we’ve now found a solution,” said
Tiina Siltanen, director of Veikkaus, expressing satisfaction.
“It’s positive for all parties that the space will be utilized again,” she added.
Nokia Arena's CEO, Marko Hurme, also welcomed the outcome of the negotiations.
"Our company will take over the premises at the beginning of 2025. Planning has already begun, and further details will be shared later," Hurme stated.
