Veikkaus, Finland's state-run gambling company, has renewed its collaboration with the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, securing a partnership that will extend until 2030. This long-term agreement underscores the importance of ice hockey for both betting offerings and the brand’s identity.
"Ice hockey is a significant Finnish sport that resonates deeply with the public. At Veikkaus, we take pride in our long-standing partnership with Finnish ice hockey and the Leijonat teams. It is essential for us that this successful journey continues for many years to come," said Reija Laaksonen, Veikkaus' EVP for People, Culture, and Communications.
Laaksonen also emphasized the sport’s importance to Veikkaus' betting operations. "Through this cooperation, we can continue offering our customers exciting domestic betting products, services, and content, while improving them further. Veikkaus will remain a prominent part of Finnish ice hockey's most exciting moments and leagues," she stated.
The partnership includes Finland's men’s and women’s national teams, the U20 national team, and the Aurora League, ensuring Veikkaus' presence across all levels of the sport.
Lassi Rönkkönen, Sales and Marketing Director for the Finnish Ice Hockey Association, highlighted the shared values between the organizations.
