IGT PlayDigital has announced the launch of a new development studio in Warsaw, an initiative through which the digital division of the gaming giant aims to expand its creative capacity and strengthen its presence in Eastern Europe. The project, shared through LinkedIn profiles of several senior executives, has been presented not as a simple expansion, but as the creation of a team “from the ground up” intended to define the identity and culture of the studio itself.
Héctor Fernández, Chief Executive Officer of IGT PlayDigital, was among the first to announce the news. “Big moves at IGT PlayDigital. We are launching a brand-new studio in Warsaw, and we are not just filling roles; we are building a powerful team from scratch,” the executive stated, framing the project as a rare opportunity in the industry. According to him, this is a chance to “define a studio’s identity, shape its culture, and create games played by millions of players worldwide.”
Four leadership roles to kick off the project
The recruitment process begins with the search for four strategic leadership profiles considered essential for the new studio. According to Nemanja Golušin, talent acquisition lead involved in the project, the open positions are Studio Director, Game Math Design Manager, Engineering Manager and Art Manager. These roles will lay the foundations of the team and define the creative, technical and artistic direction of the studio.
“If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something from the beginning, shape the culture, and work on games played by millions, this is your moment,” Golušin said, adding that additional vacancies will open in the coming weeks once this initial leadership core is established. The company is seeking “the best experts in the iGaming industry,” with a profile focused on builders, thinkers and professionals committed to high-quality game development.
Poland as a new development hub
The choice of Warsaw is not accidental. Poland has become one of Europe’s leading technology and game development hubs in recent years, with a strong talent pool in programming, game mathematics, engineering and art design. The Polish capital already hosts numerous offices of iGaming and digital entertainment companies, making it a strategic location for talent acquisition.
The project is already in an active recruitment phase, and the company has invited interested professionals to contact hiring managers directly via LinkedIn for more details about the positions and onboarding process.
