Autocontrol updates its certificate for influencers

Autocontrol launches version 2.0 of the certificate for influencers

Autocontrol presents version 2.0 of its Basic Training Certificate on advertising regulations for influencers, one year after its launch, with updated content that incorporates the latest regulatory developments and the recent doctrine of the Autocontrol Jury.

COMUNICADO

The new version incorporates the latest regulatory developments, administrative resolutions and the doctrine developed by the Self-Control Jury, as well as answers to the most frequent queries raised by influencers, advertisers, agencies and platforms. The update also adds new practical cases, videos, graphic resources and teaching materials that reinforce the practical nature of the training.

Since its launch, 7,433 content creators have enrolled in this training and more than 6,700 have already obtained the certificate, consolidating Spain as the country with the highest number of certified influencers within the European AdEthics program, promoted by the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA). Autocontrol has also established itself as an international benchmark in this area, having organized work sessions with advertising self-regulatory bodies in countries such as Belgium, Chile, the United States, Greece, India, Italy, Portugal and Uruguay.

Patricia Zabala, CEO of Autocontrol, pointed out that the excellent reception of this certificate by the advertising sector shows its responsibility and willingness to comply with regulations, and that, in the face of the constant evolution of influencer marketing and its regulation, the entity's training tools must also evolve to continue offering useful, practical training aligned with the reality of the sector.

The satisfaction of those who have already completed the training reaches 4.7 out of 5, while its practical usefulness obtains a score of 4.75 out of 5. As the main novelty, the certificate incorporates the doctrine of the Self-Control Jury on influencer advertising, included in the resolutions and opinions issued since the launch of the certificate, with practical content on issues such as the correct identification of commercial communications, the use and location of warnings on the advertising nature of messages or the liability regime applicable to advertisers and influencers.

The system already has 6,914 member entities, including 5,956 influencers, 615 advertisers, 241 agencies, 65 media and 37 business associations, a development that has been possible thanks to the involvement of the entire advertising industry, with the support of associations such as the Spanish Association of Advertisers (AEA), IAB Spain, APIDE, FEDE and the Spanish Union of Creators (UEC), in addition to the active participation of numerous companies, agencies and digital platforms in the Certificate Collaborating Companies Program.

Coinciding with the launch of this version 2.0, Autocontrol has also updated its specialised portal on regulation and self-regulation of influencer advertising, incorporating the latest regulatory developments, the doctrine of the Jury and the main resolutions of the competent administrative authorities, so that both the certificate and the portal evolve in parallel to promote increasingly transparent and responsible advertising.
