The industrial group, represented by ANESAR, ASESFAM, CEJ, CEJUEGO, CLUB DE CONVERGENTES, COFAR, FEMARA, FEJBA and Platform for Sustainable Gambling, held a meeting yesterday in which they agreed to make extraordinary decisions aimed at alleviating the effects of the crisis caused by COVID-19 in the private land based gaming sector.
The different associations have shown their maximum willingness to continue carrying out these collaborations and agreements at a time when the sector must enable the maintenance of the businesess and protect the employment generated by it.
The industrial group has proposed a series of measures for the reactivation of the private face-to-face gaming sector with the aim of guaranteeing sanitary measures in gaming venues that enable the reopening of its activity in the best possible sanitary safety and hygienic conditions. All this with the ultimate goal of integrating the activity of the gaming sector as a priority in the so-called "escalation" plans for reopening and reactivating activities.
Providing workers with the necessary equipment is among the proposed measures, along with adapting the reception and control areas or temporarily reduce the current capacity of the premises.
In addition, the industry group has deemed it necessary to carry out a series of extraordinary fiscal measures that help alleviate the serious crisis that the gaming insutry is currently suffering, like many others in Spain.
Among the measures agreed upon and that will be presented to the State administrations, are the suspension of the payment of taxes such as VAT, Personal Income Tax and Social Security contributions and the exemption from the IAE of 2020, applying the zero quota of the rule. 15 of the Royal Legislative Decree 1175/1990. Work-related and other support measures will also be requested, such as requesting flexibility after the completion of the ERTEs due to force majeure to adapt to the activity expected in the reopening.
