This Monday, the Community of Madrid demanded from the central government "a road map" that would allow it to resume the activity of bars and restaurants according to the criteria established by the health authorities by COVID-19, according to the EFE agency.
The Counselor of Culture and Tourism, Marta Rivera de la Cruz, has made this request to the Central Executive through a letter that she has sent to the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto.
The Madrid counselor has maintained that "at some point there may be limited and controlled activity in hotels, bars and restaurants, which will allow the survival of many businesses and the maintenance of thousands of jobs."
Thus, from the Community of Madrid request a meeting as soon as possible with representatives of the sector, under the strict control of the Ministry of Health, to design a reasonable de-escalation for tourism, bars and restaurants "as one of the key sectors in the country's economy.
Rivera de la Cruz said: "I beg you to start preparing a road map for the reopening and, above all, that there be no mistaken information from the Government that could create confusion and hopelessness"
