The PokerStars Players No Limit Hold’em Championship (PSPC) and European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona are the latest major live tournaments to be postponed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
In connection to this, three more events have also been dropped from PokerStars’ live events calendar – the Road to PSPC Cannes, Road to PSPC Madrid and Manila Super Series 14.
Severin Rasset, PokerStars’ Director of Poker Innovation and Operations, said the postponement may be disappointing to a lot of players and fans around the world, but the company needs to prioritize the health and safety of all players and staff during these difficult times. Rasset said they will now focus on making the PSPC bigger and better in 2021, hopefully when safety is already assured by that time.
