Novomatic Italy announced this week its incorporation into the newly formed Italian Association of Public Gaming Operators (EGP), which is a member of the Italian Federation of Public Companies (FIPE). Thus, EGP directly represents dozens of rooms specialized in offering public games: Bingo, Videolotteries, AWP and Betting.

The Association was born from the experience of collaboration in FIPE between some of the main Italian gaming retail groups, which created with the national sector unions in 2019 the National Labor Agreement for employees of Gaming Halls - Bingo Rooms and in 2020 the regulatory protocol of COVID-19 security measures for these activities.
EGP's objective is to bring the strategic role of the specialized distribution network dedicated to offering public games to the attention of all institutional actors, in order to continue raising the standards of quality and professionalism at the points of sale, prevent addictions and continue to effectively combat illegal gambling.
In this phase, EGP carries out a communication action towards institutional, national and territorial interlocutors, to face and overcome the very difficult contingency of COVID-19, guaranteeing, at the same time, the maintenance of employment levels, tax income and sustainability of the economic activities of the specialized retail trade of public games.
In this regard, Lino Enrico Stoppani, President of FIPE, said:
"The professional vision of the gaming offering and the values ??of social responsibility and consumer protection that EGP members implement in their activities convinced the Federation to be closer to the gaming sector."
"We believe that these assumptions are essential to convince all institutional subjects that the Italian public gaming system, based on the concession model and on cooperation between public administrations and companies, continues to be the best management solution for the sector."
For its part, the Board of Directors of EGP, expressed:
“Our main commitment is, on the one hand, to support the fight against illegal gambling, always ready to fill in an omnipresent way all the spaces that the controlled offer is forced to leave, depriving consumers and the community of security guarantees. necessary and, from another, the best information on the effectiveness of the rules and controls on the operators and on the public gaming products”.
