Grosvenor Casino Blackpool, owned by The Rank Group, has functioned since April as a community kitchen center in which up to 250 meals are prepared daily, five days a week, in order to help feed the most vulnerable communities of the UK.
In this regard, and thanks to the great work of the casino's kitchen staff, in the next few days they will reach the great figure of 25,000 free meals delivered together with Blackpool Community Homeless Project, Amazing Graze homeless charity and His Provision.
It should be noted that while the Grosvenor Casino Blackpool remains closed due to the COVID-19 health crisis, it has remained active during these difficult times and has also donated prepared meals to the National Health System (NHS), the police, the courts and firefighters.
On this noble action, Nik McFadden, General Manager of Grosvenor Casino Blackpool, said: "Working with our charity partners to cook and deliver free meals to those who need them most is a real testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment."
