The Kansspelautoriteit (Ksa, gaming authority in the Netherlands) has published the call for its customary awards for master's and bachelor's thesis that stimulate new and original ideas of gaming politics.
Ksa organizes these awards since 2015 with two categories:
- Best master's thesis, prize 2,500 euros
- Best undergraduate thesis, prize 1,500 euros
The Netherlands gaming authority advises that it is possible to present research related to addiction prevention and care approaches, psychology, criminology, sociology, history, linguistics, mathematics or other fields not mentioned here.
The jury for this edition of the awards is made up of:
- Jonne Arnoldussen, National Charity Lotteries
- Bart Broers, ACM
- Erik Pijnacker Hordijk, Pels Rijcken
- Karin van Wingerde, Erasmus University
- Johan Wolswinkel, Tilburg University
- Flóra Fels?, Gaming Authority
- René Jansen, Gaming Authority, President of the Gaming Authority
The general conditions of participation are:
- Gaming related issue
- Works whose final grade from the educational institution was 8 or higher
- Written in Dutch or English
