DraftKings and Entain have confirmed that, after a period of negotiations between their directors, the acquisition transaction will not proceed because Draftkings "has no intention of making an offer."
Jason Robins, CEO of DraftKings, said: "We are highly confident in our ability to maintain a leadership position and achieve our long-term growth plans in the rapidly growing North America market."
On the other hand, Entain has reiterated that its board of directors is "focused on executing its growth and sustainability strategy" as it trusts the future of the group, its management team and its patented technology.
