888 has announced the donation of 70 laptops to Good Thoughts (Machshava Tova), a non-profit organization that promotes access to technology in disadvantaged communities, thereby reducing social gaps and creating a better society in Israel.
As 888 explains, Good Thoughts runs many programs including the Eco-Tech program, a technology empowerment program for youth and Digital Literacy and Smartphone courses for seniors.
Other actions carried out by this non-profit organization are:
- Employment Courses in the digital age, providing access to technology and enabling a world of opportunities for education, employment, and social integration for job seekers.
- They have two computer labs, in Lod and Jerusalem, where they build and repair computers. The lab provides services to those who might not otherwise be able to afford the cost of commercial labs, as well as building computers that are donated to people who need them most.
- These labs are for people who are seeking training in both hardware and software and who receive various professional certifications upon completion of their apprenticeship.
